Our 9-Step In-Plant Cleaning Process Works!

1. Pre-Inspection and Pickup - As far as possible, we will determine beforehand what processes to use on your rug and outline the results you can expect. We then will come pick up your rugs or you can drop them off at our plant. As long as our minimum cleaning charge is met, we will pick up and deliver your rugs for free.
2. Dry Soil Removal - A woven rug is designed to hide dry soil, but it's still there - and sometimes pounds of it! We use a pile lifter, special vacuum attachments, and many other methods to pull dust from the rugs front and back.
3. Pre-Condition - We use a soil emulsifier as a pretreatment.
4. Pre-Spot and Fringe Preparation - Spots that look challenging will be pretreated with special solutions designed to increase the odds of removal. Rug fringe is also pretreated to enhance soil removal.
5. Shampoo or Hot Water Extraction - We use either a shampoo made to protect sensitive natural fibers or the same hot water extraction process we use in carpet cleaning. After the rug is dry, we inspect it to see if further work is required.
6. Rinse or Wash - Your rug either will be rinsed on both sides with extraction equipment or cleaned in a wash pit designed for oriental rugs.
7. Drying - The rug is dried flat or hung to dry in a controlled environment. We use techniques to avoid any unnatural shrinkage.
8. Finishing - Once dried, your rug is combed and finished with a soft groomer made for specialty rugs.
9. Post-Inspection and Delivery - Once our cleaning specialist inspects our work, your rug will be wrapped in brown craft paper for protection and made available for pickup or delivery.
